We are looking for an experienced Project Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Burlington, Massachusetts. This role is ideal for someone with strong expertise in cost accounting, project management, and account reconciliation. You will play a key role in ensuring the financial accuracy of projects while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Job Responsibility:
Perform detailed account reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy and compliance
Manage cost accounting processes to monitor project expenses and profitability
Prepare and post journal entries related to project financial activities
Oversee project accounting functions, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting
Collaborate with project managers to align financial records with operational goals
Utilize NetSuite to streamline accounting tasks and maintain data integrity
Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and recommend solutions
Support audits and generate reports based on project financial performance
Assist in budgeting and forecasting for ongoing and upcoming projects
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in project accounting or related roles
Proficiency in cost accounting and account reconciliation
Strong working knowledge of NetSuite and other accounting software
Familiarity with construction accounting practices is preferred
Demonstrated experience in managing financial aspects of projects
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple departments
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required
