Project Accountant

• Lead the full project lifecycle, from complex setup and budget maintenance to final close-out
• Act as the primary financial liaison for Project Managers, providing the data-driven insights necessary to manage job performance in monthly review meetings
• Conduct deep-dive variance analysis and provide actionable recommendations to mitigate risk and improve profitability
• Manage job-specific billing, AR collections, and the accurate allocation of labor and departmental costs
• Support month-end closes and GL reconciliations, ensuring all files are audit-ready and compliant with ASPE/IFRS standards

• 3+ years of dedicated accounting experience, with a strong preference for those coming directly from the Construction or Heavy Industry sectors
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA designation (or being in the final stages of the program) is highly preferred
• Advanced Excel skills are essential for job cost accruals and reporting
• Familiarity with construction accounting software is an asset
• The ability to move between technical accounting and clear, concise communication with on-site project teams
