Project Accountant

• Collaborate with project managers to review budgets and reconcile them with purchase orders for accuracy
• Assist with subcontracting processes, including project billings and closeout procedures
• Monitor and compile project lien waivers, both conditional and unconditional, to ensure timely closure of subcontracts
• Oversee the Spend Clarity App by coding receipts, adding new projects, and assigning cost codes
• Address payable inquiries, manage vendor statements, and process pay applications
• Set up new projects in Procore and Acumatica systems
• Track and manage lien waivers, certificates of insurance (COIs), and W9 documentation
• Handle tax-exempt forms and ensure compliance with regulations
• Facilitate data flow between Acumatica and Procore to maintain accurate records
• Perform additional tasks as assigned to support project accounting operations

• 2-5 years of experience in project accounting, preferably within the construction industry
• Familiarity with construction pay applications and change orders
• Proficiency in using construction management systems, such as Procore
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and processes
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and prioritize workload
• Experience with corporate tax, sales tax, and journal entries is a plus
• Strong knowledge of general ledger and project accounting practices
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
