We're seeking a Project Accountant to join a growing team in downtown Vancouver. The ideal candidate has 1 to 2 years of billing or project accounting experience.
Job Responsibility
Prepare and manage project billing, including contract review and billing setup
Ensure all billable costs are properly captured and invoiced in accordance with agreements
Track and validate project costs including labour, materials, subcontractors, equipment, and change orders
Upload invoices to client portals or distribute them directly to clients as required
Create and maintain project setups within NetSuite and Suite Projects Pro
Work with Project Managers to align WIP billing with approved rates and contract terms
Record and process all AR payments in NetSuite and apply payments against outstanding customer balances accurately.
Assist Project Managers in reviewing employee timesheets for billing
Set up and maintain customer accounts in NetSuite
Update and synchronize project-related data such as tax codes and location details in project systems
Support month-end activities, including accrual preparation and cash flow forecasting.
Requirements
1 to 2 years of accounting experience.
Project-based industries experience such as environmental consulting, construction, or engineering
