Job Description

As our Project Accountant Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting the financial operations of our organization. This role offers exposure to accounts payable, billing, compliance, and reporting processes. Successful interns demonstrate attention to detail, eagerness to learn, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

Job Responsibility

  • Assist and research business partner invoice processing correspondence
  • Support invoice process through approval/payment and/or rejection
  • Support accounting team by reconciling aging pay applications
  • Assist with processing vendor invoices and subcontractor requests for payment
  • Help maintain compliance documentation, including lien waivers and insurance certificates
  • Participate in project accounting reviews for accuracy and compliance
  • Support the certificate review process for accuracy and compliance
  • Assist with maintaining organized records for claims and notices and subcontractor payment compliance
  • Participate in month-end closing activities by assisting with project revenue reconciliation

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice to have

familiarity with accounting software is a plus
