As a Project Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in driving financial success across large-scale real estate development projects. Manage project accounting activities, ensuring accurate budgeting, forecasting, and cost control. Partner with stakeholders to align financial insights with strategic objectives and transformation initiatives. Your ability to combine technical accounting expertise with strategic thinking will be essential.

Job Responsibility:

  • Play a pivotal role in driving financial success across large-scale real estate development projects
  • Manage project accounting activities, ensuring accurate budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
  • Partner with stakeholders to align financial insights with strategic objectives and transformation initiatives
  • Oversee end-to-end project accounting for development projects, including capital expenditure tracking and compliance with IFRS/AASB standards
  • Collaborate with development project managers, finance teams, and offshore delivery teams
  • Communicate complex financial concepts clearly to non-finance stakeholders
  • Design and implement improved workflows for project accounting and financial reporting
  • Monitor financial risks and maintain strong internal controls

Requirements:

  • Proven industry experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A) and financial control
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in project accounting, ideally within the real estate development sector
  • Strong skills in financial modelling, budgeting, and reporting using tools like Excel, Power BI, Tableau
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale property development projects and associated financial controls
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (Oracle Fusion) and planning tools (Hyperion, Anaplan)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to translate financial insights into actionable business strategies
  • CA, CPA or equivalent qualification is mandatory
