Job Description:

We are seeking a hands on Subject Matter Expert (DevOps Engineer) or Technical Writer with experience in Terraform and infrastructure as code to support sample generation and documentation for cloud scenarios. This role is designed for someone who can work independently and create Terraform samples and validate technical content — including AI generated Terraform examples — with minimal ramp up. The ideal candidate is comfortable working across multi cloud environments (Azure, AWS) and understands Terraform well enough to review, validate, and refine examples for accuracy and usability. Prior experience writing for developer documentation or Microsoft Learn–style content is helpful but not required.

Job Responsibility:

  • Create, review, edit, and validate Terraform configuration samples, including AI generated outputs
  • Ensure published examples are technically correct, deployable, and aligned to real world usage
  • Convert or refine Terraform examples for clarity and reuse across scenarios
  • Work with AI assisted tooling (e.g., Copilot based deployment agents) to create, evaluate and improve generated content
  • Operate independently with minimal guidance, quickly understanding requirements and delivering results
  • Collaborate with stakeholders as needed to confirm technical intent and accuracy

Requirements:

  • Strong working knowledge of Terraform and infrastructure as code concepts
  • Experience using Terraform in cloud environments (Azure and/or AWS)
  • Ability to understand and validate infrastructure definitions stored in configuration files
  • Comfortable reviewing technical output produced by AI tools and ensuring correctness
  • Self directed, able to “drop in and run” with limited onboarding

Nice to have:

  • Technical writing experience, especially for developer or cloud documentation
  • Familiarity with publishing workflows similar to Microsoft Learn
  • Experience working in fast changing environments with evolving tooling and requirements
