As a Programme Tutor in English, you will deliver high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment that enables students to achieve their full potential. You’ll create engaging and inclusive lessons, support progress through effective feedback, and ensure all learners — including those with SEND — develop the skills and confidence needed for future success.
Job Responsibility:
Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality English lessons in line with curriculum and awarding body requirements
Monitor student progress, attendance, and achievement, taking action to address any concerns
Provide clear targets and timely, constructive feedback to support learner development
Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of diverse learners, including those with SEND
Contribute to quality assurance processes, including standardisation and continuous improvement activities
Carry out duties in line with College policies and procedures, including safeguarding and equality commitments
Requirements:
Qualified teacher (or working towards) with a strong English subject background
Experience delivering teaching in a learning environment, ideally within Further Education
Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire learners
Ability to differentiate teaching to support a range of learner needs
Organised and proactive, with the ability to track progress and maintain accurate records
