Programme Test Manager – Financial Services - Consultancy. Our client, a Professional Services firm, is scaling a "best-in-class" Quality Engineering and Testing Practice. By merging deep industry expertise with cutting-edge testing methodologies, the firm helps global entities deliver high-quality transformations while drastically minimising risk. We are seeking a Programme Test Manager to join the Financial Services (FS) leadership team. This is a dual-impact role focused on high-level business development and senior delivery oversight across the FS landscape.
Job Responsibility:
Practice Growth: Formulate unique, value-add propositions that address the complex regulatory and operational needs of the FS sector
Business Development: Own and deliver an individual revenue sales target, managing the end-to-end pursuit lifecycle and converting a robust pipeline of opportunities
Strategic Account Management: Build and maintain C-suite relationships across Banking, Insurance, and Fintech, leveraging the firm’s global brand and delivery capability
Leadership & Mentoring: Act as a cornerstone of the practice by coaching junior consultants and building a high-performing team with the right mix of competencies
Engagement Oversight: Serve as Programme Director or Engagement Manager for complex, multi-stream client projects, ensuring seamless transition from "sales" to "implementation."
Requirements:
Proven track record within a major advisory business or a leading FS institution, with significant experience in Business Development and practice growth
Deep understanding of IT transformation within Banking, Payments, Asset Management, or Fintech
In-depth knowledge of testing services (costing/route-to-market), tools (open-source vs. commercial), and SDLC methodologies
Strategic Problem Solving: Ability to translate abstract client aspirations into practical, high-standard delivery roadmaps
Communication: Exceptional influence skills, capable of navigating senior stakeholder environments and building broad personal networks across the industry
Delivery Excellence: Recognised for both technical delivery precision and strong business acumen
