Job Description

This role supports the delivery of major strategic programmes by providing high quality programme support, governance coordination, reporting and insight. You will operate within established frameworks and enterprise delivery standards, working closely with Programme Managers and senior stakeholders to enable effective decision making and delivery assurance. You will actively support programme boards, manage escalations, and ensure compliance with delivery methodologies and controls. Additionally, you will oversee operational coordination and delivery support, ensuring effective document control, knowledge sharing, and tool support across delivery teams.

Job Responsibility

  • Support the implementation of PSO strategy, processes, and governance frameworks across major programmes
  • Coordinate programme audits, assurance reviews, and quality activities, supporting preparation, evidence collation, and follow‑up actions
  • Support programme boards through preparation of materials, action tracking, RAID updates, and decision logs
  • Assist in the identification, documentation, and escalation of risks, issues, and dependencies in line with governance processes
  • Coordinate programme governance meetings, including scheduling, agenda creation, minutes, and action tracking
  • Maintain programme documentation, repositories, and knowledge assets to ensure consistency and audit readiness
  • Ensure effective document control, knowledge sharing, and tool support across delivery teams
  • Ensure consistent use of project management tools, templates, and frameworks across all programmes
  • Produce and maintain programme dashboards and reports in line with PSO standards
  • Analyse programme data, highlighting trends, risks and areas requiring attention to support informed decision‑making
  • Support stakeholder engagement by coordinating communications, tracking cross programme dependencies, and ensuring information is accurate, timely, and consistent
  • Monitor programme KPIs, conduct delivery health checks, using results to drive efficiencies

Requirements

  • Proven experience supporting large‑scale, complex programmes or projects within a matrix or multi‑stakeholder environment
  • Experience in a programme, project, PMO or PSO support role, providing governance, reporting and delivery support
  • Working knowledge of programme and project governance frameworks, including RAID management, reporting cycles, assurance activities and control processes
  • Exposure to multiple delivery methodologies (e.g. waterfall, agile or hybrid)
  • Degree educated or equivalent industry experience with Project / Programme Management accreditations: MSP Practitioner, Prince 2, PMI, APMP, or a willingness to work towards
