Are you a seasoned leader with a track record of steering complex, large-scale change initiatives? We are looking for a Retirements Programme Manager to join this organisation’s Service and Experience Change team. In this pivotal role, you will be accountable for overseeing the planning, implementation, and delivery of a complex programme of work that directly impacts millions of customers. You will operate with a high level of autonomy, working alongside senior stakeholders and external partners to ensure their strategy is translated into seamless, high-quality services.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead the execution of multiple projects and workstreams, ensuring they align with organisational strategy and customer priority requirements
  • Act as the primary point of contact for programme matters, managing critical relationships with internal senior leadership and major external service providers
  • Develop comprehensive programme plans (timelines, milestones, and budgets) while establishing transparent reporting through required governance forums
  • Proactively identify risks and define solutions to minimise impact on delivery, providing leadership to the wider project delivery team
  • Evaluate outcomes, document lessons learned, and shape new ways of working across cross-functional teams

Requirements

  • Proven experience delivering large-scale, complex change initiatives within an enterprise-wide context
  • Strong capability in managing teams (directly or via matrix management) and influencing at all levels
  • Experience in external supplier and service management within complex environments
  • Deep understanding of project management methodologies and tools (e.g., RAID management, configuration control, and financial tracking)
