The Energy Efficiency Hub wishes to recruit a Programme Manager and seeks an exceptional candidate to fill this important position. The successful candidate will report to the Head of the Hub Secretariat.
Job Responsibility:
Assist the Head of Secretariat in preparing, organising and implementing the Hub Secretariat’s programme of work and budget, taking responsibility for developing timelines, tracking progress, drafting written and verbal reports, and ensuring that the outputs are robust and policy-relevant
Support effective operations and decision making of the Steering Committee, including organising policy exchange workshops with speakers, preparing documents and logistics, and facilitating participation at meetings of the Steering Committee and Bureau, drawing on technical knowledge and employing diplomatic sensitivity
Support the Head of the Secretariat in ensuring good financial practices and all financial and activity reporting in line with OECD/IEA requirements, and ensuring the steering committee is kept appraised of all budgetary and related issues
Collaborate closely with the Secretariat’s administrative and communications assistant, and guide successive interns in contributing to selected tasks
Take a lead role in developing and executing the communications strategy and take responsibility for disseminating Task Group outputs through Hub website, social media and other channels, elevating energy efficiency through messaging
Design and produce content based on outputs from Task Groups and other Hub activities for external communications, incorporating technical insights on energy efficiency measures, policy best practices and case studies to showcase impact
Organise Secretariat-led Policy Exchange Workshops and other events that feature effective efficiency policies, financing mechanisms and implementation strategies across sectors
contribute to event design, recruit and prepare speakers, publicise events, and prepare summaries
Organise and implement high-profile international events that showcase Members’ efforts on energy efficiency
Facilitate communication among Hub Members and Task Groups, identify opportunities for productive exchanges, support their activities and meetings, and guide their reports to the Steering Committee, and review their outputs
Foster strong relationships with relevant international organisations, industry and other key stakeholders to align activities, avoid duplication, disseminate Hub outputs, and to keep Hub Members informed of best practices
Advanced university degree in engineering, physical sciences, statistics, international relations, economics, policy or other relevant discipline(s)
Minimum five years experience in energy efficiency policy or related fields, with strong technical, economic, and policy expertise and active engagement in national and international initiatives and organizations
Proven project management expertise, including planning, budgeting, execution, and delivery of complex, multi-stakeholder projects and events
Demonstrated client and stakeholder management skills, with experience building and maintaining effective relationships with international partners and institutions
Strong team leadership and collaboration capabilities, including coordinating multidisciplinary teams and working effectively across cultures and geographies
Excellent written and oral command of English, including drafting and proofreading
Nice to have:
Knowledge of one or more other working languages of Hub Members would be an asset
