Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen at EKC Canterbury College for an inspiring Programme Director (Course Leader) in Functional Skills and GCSE Maths. This is a hands-on teaching role with real scope to shape and develop our growing maths curriculum.

Job Responsibility:

Teach, support and assess learners across Functional Skills and GCSE pathways
Design a relevant, ambitious curriculum that meets local and regional skills needs
Work closely with department leadership to drive outstanding student progression
Lead and coordinate your delivery team, ensuring students receive clear, up-to-date course information
Champion high standards across teaching, learning and assessment
Provide academic leadership
Guide curriculum delivery
Ensure all programmes meet accreditation requirements
Oversee curriculum provision
Build positive relationships with key stakeholders

Requirements:

A recognised teaching qualification
At least one year of post-qualification teaching experience
A creative, student-focused approach
Strong organisational and communication skills
Experience delivering high-quality lessons and tracking learner progress

Nice to have:
