Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen at EKC Canterbury College for an inspiring Programme Director (Course Leader) in Functional Skills and GCSE Maths. This is a hands-on teaching role with real scope to shape and develop our growing maths curriculum.

Job Responsibility:

  • Teach, support and assess learners across Functional Skills and GCSE pathways
  • Design a relevant, ambitious curriculum that meets local and regional skills needs
  • Work closely with department leadership to drive outstanding student progression
  • Lead and coordinate your delivery team, ensuring students receive clear, up-to-date course information
  • Champion high standards across teaching, learning and assessment
  • Provide academic leadership
  • Guide curriculum delivery
  • Ensure all programmes meet accreditation requirements
  • Oversee curriculum provision
  • Build positive relationships with key stakeholders

Requirements:

  • A recognised teaching qualification
  • At least one year of post-qualification teaching experience
  • A creative, student-focused approach
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Experience delivering high-quality lessons and tracking learner progress
