Job Description

We are supporting a retail organisation undertaking a critical phase of retail systems and transformation delivery. As a result, we are seeking an experienced Delivery Lead to join at short notice and take ownership of key workstreams across business, technology and delivery partners.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of core retail and merchandising system initiatives
  • Act as the bridge between business stakeholders, technology teams and systems integrators
  • Own delivery governance, plans, dependencies, risks and milestones
  • Ensure solutions are delivered in line with agreed scope, timelines and business outcomes
  • Provide direction and leadership across cross‑functional teams in a fast‑moving environment
  • Bring structure, momentum and assurance to a complex programme of work

Requirements

  • Proven experience delivering retail or commercial technology programmes
  • Strong interim background operating in complex, matrixed organisations
  • Deep understanding of retail, merchandising, supply chain or commercial systems
  • Experience in Oracle Retail
  • Comfortable leading multiple stakeholders at a senior level
  • Hands-on delivery lead mindset – pragmatic, outcomes-focused and resilient
  • Able to operate on-site 2 days per week, with flexibility the rest of the time

  • Ability to agree quality benchmarks, closely monitor quality of works on site to ensure the required standards are achieved, challenge any shortfall in quality and to sign off work elements only upon satisfactory completion
  • Ability to identify, instruct and record legitimate Variations, working collaboratively with the L&Q Commercial Team to effectively monitor and manage project costs
  • Ability to effectively chair and minute regular (weekly) progress meetings with our Delivery Partners /contractors
  • Strong customer service experience in dealing directly with residents with empathy and pro-actively resolving any issues / complaints within required timescales
  • Ability to review lessons learned and proactively address issues to reduce complaints arising from Major Works activities
