Job Description:

Birkbeck, University of London, is looking for a Programme Administrator on a full-time, permanent basis this Spring 2026. As a Programme Administrator, joining the Faculty of Science, you will collaborate closely with academic staff and professional services teams.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supporting the delivery programmes of study, dealing effectively with college processes, systems and procedures
  • Addressing student queries and concerns sympathetically and effectively, in all cases, following college policies and procedures to ensure a consistent and high-quality student experience
  • Actively supporting student success and wellbeing, ensuring they have the resources and guidance they need
  • Providing administrative support and supporting Faculty activities

Requirements:

  • Flexible and able to work independently and as part of a team on a variety of projects, using strong organisational skills
  • Able to work collaboratively and cultivate excellent working relationships
  • Possess excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and have a solid background in administration, ideally within an educational setting
  • Comfortable using a variety of electronic systems (e.g. Microsoft Office 365, Teams, SITS student records, Moodle etc), although training will be provided
