Job Description:

The Programmatic Supervisor leads the strategy, execution, and optimization of programmatic media campaigns across clients on DV360 and The Trade Desk. This role requires deep platform expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to translate data into actionable insights that drive performance. You will oversee campaign architecture from planning through reporting, mentor a junior team member, and serve as a key subject matter expert for programmatic across the agency and with clients. Hands-on keyboard execution is required as this is a working supervisor role. Expertise in DV360, YouTube and The Trade Desk is critical for success.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the development of programmatic strategies and tactics across channels to deliver on client goals
  • Partner with Planning and Business Intelligence teams to develop RTB and premium programmatic (PMP / PG / PD) strategies
  • Conduct strategic audits of account structure, inventory access, bidding methodology, and audience frameworks to drive continuous improvement
  • Identify opportunities for innovation across data, inventory, measurement, and optimization approaches
  • Own hands-on campaign builds, QA, pacing, and optimization within DV360 and The Trade Desk
  • Implement advanced bidding strategies, audience layering, frequency controls, and budget allocation tactics
  • Manage private marketplace (PMP), preferred deal (PD), and programmatic guaranteed (PG) executions
  • Oversee YouTube campaign builds and optimization within DV360
  • Build and recommend custom audience segments leveraging 1P and 3P data providers (e.g., Acxiom, Experian, LiveRamp, etc.)
  • Troubleshoot delivery, brand safety, viewability, and performance issues proactively
  • Partner with BI teams to ensure tracking accuracy, clean taxonomy, and scalable reporting processes
  • Mentor and train junior team member on platform best practices and campaign execution
  • Establish and document best practices for bidding, budget management, ad operations, and reporting
  • Contribute to department-wide knowledge sharing through case studies and POV development
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with planning, analytics, and ad operations teams
  • Help evolve internal processes to improve efficiency, workflow, and performance consistency

Requirements:

  • 4–6+ years of hands-on programmatic buying experience
  • Advanced, daily-working knowledge of DV360 and The Trade Desk (required)
  • Strong experience with YouTube campaign management within DV360, and within YouTube
  • Proven expertise in campaign build, optimization, troubleshooting, and performance scaling
  • Experience activating and managing PMP / PG / PD deals
  • Strong understanding of audience strategy including 1P and 3P data integration
  • Experience mentoring or managing junior team members (1–2+ years preferred)
  • Ability to translate complex platform data into clear strategic recommendations
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously
  • Collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills
