Job Description

The Program Specialist will provide administrative and professional support services for activities of the Division of Natural Areas. The candidate will assist the Director with operations including, but not limited to, communications, human resources processes, recruitment coordination, preparation of reports, and scheduling of programs and events; budget tracking and monitoring, travel/expense voucher processing, and other accounting or financial tasks; planning and implementation of management projects and educational programs and events; and other office functions.

Job Responsibility

  • Perform administrative functions to support the effective operation of the Division and associated programs, including but not limited to human resources processes, recruitment coordination, preparation of reports, and scheduling of programs and events
  • Provides budget tracking and monitoring, travel/expense voucher processing, and other accounting or financial tasks
  • Assist with planning and implementation of educational programs and events
  • Supports the office functions by completing all other duties and special projects as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is required
  • Preference for experience with administrative assistance
  • Preference for experience with educational programming
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with undergraduate students and the university community
