Job Description:

The Program Specialist - Early Education plays a key role in supporting the implementation of the Nevada Ready! State Pre-K Program and other early education initiatives under our Collective Impact strategies. This position collaborates with the Program Manager and Program Director to ensure participating early childhood education centers in Southern Nevada deliver high-quality, measurable-impact programs. The specialist also provides administrative expertise, coaching, and technical assistance to early education providers.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist in planning, managing, and implementing high-quality early education programs across diverse settings (e.g., center-based, home-based) in Southern Nevada
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of early education initiatives, ensuring programs meet established goals and measurable outcomes
  • Facilitate coaching and feedback sessions for directors, teachers, and staff, supporting implementation of best practices in early education
  • Obtain or maintain CLASS Reliability Certification to conduct effective program evaluations
  • Collaborate with early education community partners to drive service delivery improvements and build lasting relationships
  • Adapt program content, materials, and delivery methods to meet the unique needs of program participants
  • Collect and provide accurate data to meet funding requirements across key areas such as professional development, curriculum, program evaluation, family engagement, and health and safety
  • Stay informed on local and national policies, standards, and trends in early childhood education, as well as K–12 education
  • Perform administrative duties integral to program management
  • Build trust and relationships within communities supporting young children and families

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in early education, a related field, or an active educational plan is preferred but not required
  • At least five years of experience in an early childhood education setting, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet browsers (e.g., Internet Explorer/Google Chrome)
  • Proven ability to engage effectively with early education providers, local and state government entities, and community partners
  • Knowledge of Nevada early childhood education standards and preschool curriculum requirements
  • Strong analytical, project management, and process improvement skills
  • Effective written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other relevant software
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and with diverse groups, both internally and externally
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
  • Valid Nevada driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, and access to a personal vehicle for site visits, meetings, and projects
