BAE Systems, one of the world's leading defense contractors and a Top Ten Prime Contractor to the Department of War, is hiring two Program Quality Engineers for our York, PA site. As a Program Quality Engineer, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the quality of our programs, working with employees within Program Management, Quality, Supply Chain, Operations and more.
Job Responsibility:
Support the objectives of the Quality Program Manager (QPM) by leading projects of small to moderate size and complexity
Determine and communicate project objectives and strategies
Ensure technical, test, performance, cost, schedule, and quality requirements are met and that outcomes are consistent with established engineering and management principles and practice
Review contracts to determine contract deliverable report requirements (CDRL's)
Develop, implement, and manage project issues, metrics, task definition, resource requirements, and quality initiatives
Assess project quality risks then develop and support mitigation efforts
Address the various needs, concerns, and expectations of stakeholders
Conceptualize and analyze technical challenges to ensure outcomes are consistent with customer and internal requirements
Prepare and present project technical results and recommendations
Advise QPM on new developments and evolving technical challenges
Requirements:
Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree and four (4) years related experience, or the overall equivalent
Possess an understand of Quality Systems Requirements (i.e. ISO 9001)
Excellent interpersonal skills
Strong communicator able to effectively share relevant information, costs, and concepts particularly in the form of presentations and to a diverse audience
Practical working knowledge of project management, supply chain, configuration management, manufacturing, process improvement methodologies, and life cycle management processes
Familiar with product requirements and the execution of contractor / Government programs
Able to coordinate and lead cross functional teams
Excellent organization and time management skills
Computer proficiency in MS Suite
Nice to have:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business preferred
ASQ accreditation or Black-belt, or Green-belt certification
Demonstratable knowledge of ISO 9001, TS-16949, or AS9100
