The Project Manager (PM) directs, controls, administers, and regulates an infrastructure, enhancement, or development program and/or project. The PM is the individual ultimately responsible to the agency. The PM’s primary responsibility is to drive the entire efforts for the DCY IT’s Big Idea Implementation from start to finish. The PM must ensure that the projects are completed on schedule and that the final product meets the business, technical, and established quality requirements. The Ohio Department of Children and Youth (DCY) is looking for an experienced and ambitious PM to join the team. As a PM contractor, she or he will provide oversight, direction, and guidance to project teams to ensure progress, alignment with business and technical requirements and goals, and monitor timelines across all 4 Big Idea projects. DCY is implementing 4 initiatives with different project teams. These are: Transition of applications from legacy agencies into the DCY Salesforce Org; Implementation of Salesforce Marketing Cloud; Implementation of Salesforce Data Cloud with Artificial Intelligence (AI); Aligning Licensing Applications.
Job Responsibility:
Direct, control, administer, and regulate an infrastructure, enhancement, or development program and/or project
Drive the entire efforts for the DCY IT’s Big Idea Implementation from start to finish
Ensure that the projects are completed on schedule and that the final product meets the business, technical, and established quality requirements
Provide oversight, direction, and guidance to project teams to ensure progress, alignment with business and technical requirements and goals, and monitor timelines across all 4 Big Idea projects
Work with the project teams across multiple vendors including the Salesforce Strategic Consult hired to assist setting up DCY’s Salesforce Org, internal teams, DCY leadership, and program area Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
Work with line of business SMEs and key stakeholders to optimize the value IT delivers and to accomplish the Big Ideas
Lead project delivery, driving projects to meet key milestones, drive accountability and removing obstacles on multiple concurrent projects
Develop scope and assist in defining project requirements
Provide general project management support which includes developing and maintaining work breakdown structures, assisting project teams with developing and maintaining project schedules, assisting with the requirements definition process, interfacing with technology subject matter experts, working with project managers to drive projects towards on-time completion, within budget and meeting quality standards
Work with project teams to identify risks and issues
Identifying mitigation strategies
Work with SMEs to obtain necessary requirements or business needs for the Big Idea implementations
Work with development and infrastructure teams to ensure completion of action items, delivery of work, and the identification of needs, risks, and issues
Conduct status meetings and perform risk assessments, track action items and provide reporting needed by the Division Leadership
Implement risk mitigation strategies to ensure high quality and on-time delivery of projects
Work with business stakeholders to ensure that customer requirements are clearly defined, that regular customer communications take place and that the customer is engaged in the project
Continually work with business stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction
Requirements:
4-year college degree or equivalent technical study
7+ years of project management experience in Information Technology projects and a proven track record of handling multiple projects concurrently with successful project delivery results
5+ years of business process analysis
3+ years of workflow automation
3+ years of Salesforce experience
Competency in Microsoft applications including Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Solid experience in leading the implementation of workflow automation solution including gathering and creating efficient business workflow process
Extensive knowledge of project management processes, systems development methods, technology management best practices, organizational change management concepts, and business process improvement methods
In-depth knowledge of project planning techniques and automated project planning tools
Experience in managing several different priorities and responsibilities
Excellent documentation skills
Experience creating detailed project documents including project charter, implementation plan, test plan, deployment plan, and reports and giving presentations based on the appropriate audience
Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
Must have strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Proven track record in managing complex infrastructure and website development projects from conception through completion while working with cross-functional teams
Experience performing business analysis and/or project management for software development projects
Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
Nice to have:
Large-scale Salesforce implementation experience is preferred
Project Management PMP credentials is preferred
Experience leading digital workflow automation projects preferred
