Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Program Manager to lead complex, high-profile I&IT initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring project deliverables align with business requirements while adhering to rigorous project management methodologies and standards.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide end-to-end project management for large-scale, high-risk initiatives, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget
  • Gather and develop comprehensive requirements to create and maintain detailed project schedules and integrated plans
  • Develop complex project budgets across multiple funding channels
  • monitor, forecast, and reconcile costs to ensure high levels of fiscal control
  • Source and onboard diverse team members, clarifying roles and expectations for both unionized employees and fee-for-service consultants
  • Proactively identify potential risk events, develop mitigation strategies, and prioritize issues for senior executive decision-makers
  • Establish and participate in steering committees and stakeholder forums, providing high-level reporting to executive leadership
  • Utilize strategic actions to overcome resistance to change during all project phases—from concept to close-out
  • Resolve resourcing and interpersonal conflicts, negotiating changes to ensure knowledge sharing and project continuity

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in managing project schedules, deliverables, and scope
  • Extensive experience directing teams to ensure deliverables adhere to organizational and government standards
  • Knowledge of Information Management principles, Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK), and I&IT best practices
  • Understanding of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and related standards
  • Proven ability to make informed recommendations on the acquisition of software, hardware, and technology resources
