The Software Ecosystem Enablement team at AMD develops graphics and AI‑accelerated software that enables cutting‑edge applications—from AAA games and real‑time rendering to machine‑learning‑driven workloads. The SEE PMO team is searching for a software program manager to drive development of research‑driven, real‑time, performance‑sensitive software, and leading-edge technologies including machine learning research. You will interact with SEE engineering management, product management, software and hardware engineering teams, quality assurance, and release management. You will also be collaboratively driving the group’s roadmap.
Job Responsibility:
Define and align software development roadmaps with silicon milestones (tape-out, bring-up, validation, launch)
Drive end‑to‑end planning and execution of complex software programs, from early research exploration through productized release
Drive post-silicon bring-up readiness
Accountable for the maintenance and accuracy of project/ program documentation, systems, and spaces
Build contingency plans as required to meet the needs of the business
Track execution, risks, dependencies, and trade‑offs (performance, schedule, quality) and communicate clearly to stakeholders and leadership
Identify and mitigate integration bottlenecks late in development, drive closure of critical issues ahead of release gates
Drive closure of critical bugs before release gates
Help ensure ecosystem readiness at launch, including ISV enablement, documentation, and integration considerations
Contribute to continuous improvement of program execution processes and operating rhythms
Coordinate optimization efforts across teams
Collaborate to ensure a smooth Day 0 launch
Requirements:
5+ years of experience managing various medium to large software development projects with moderate to high complexity
Technical fluency in computer architecture or Experience in the PC hardware or Gaming ecosystem
Demonstrated ability to work with engineering teams on ambiguous or research‑driven efforts
Experience managing risks, dependencies, and execution trade‑offs in complex programs, assumptions, issues and actions log, POR change requests
Strong understanding of multiple software development methodologies
Experience managing global teams
Experience working with technically sophisticated products (systems software, platforms, SDKs, performance‑sensitive applications)
Skilled in MS Office, Outlook, JIRA, Confluence
BS or higher in Engineering or a related technical field strongly preferred
Nice to have:
Prior exposure to ISV ecosystems, developer platforms, or partner‑facing software is a plus
