Job Description:

The Program Manager will lead large-scale networking and fiber infrastructure programs within the Public Sector SLED practice. This role requires over 10 years of experience in project and program management, particularly in IT infrastructure. A bachelor's degree in a related field or PMP certification is required. The candidate will manage service provider networks and ensure compliance across multiple locations. Strong technical knowledge in networking technologies and fiber infrastructure is essential. Job Responsibility:

  • Direct and oversee end-to-end program delivery for networking and fiber initiatives
  • Manage service provider networks supporting 500+ locations across 5,000+ square miles, ensuring high availability and compliance
  • Develop program plans, budgets, and schedules aligned with client objectives and regulatory requirements
  • Lead cross-functional teams and vendors to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Implement risk management strategies and maintain executive-level reporting on KPIs and financials
  • Travel to the client site in Sacramento, CA may be required on an as-requested basis

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of project and program management experience in IT infrastructure
  • 5+ years managing service provider networks supporting 500+ locations across 5,000+ square miles
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR PMI PMP Certification

Nice to have:

  • Proven ability to manage multi-million-dollar IT programs with complex dependencies
  • Expertise in governance frameworks (PMO standards, ITIL, COBIT)
  • Strong experience in vendor and contract management for large-scale network and fiber deployments
  • Strong technical background in networking technologies (LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, MPLS) and fiber infrastructure
  • Deep knowledge of fiber optic design, installation, and maintenance
  • Familiarity with network architecture, routing protocols, and security standards
  • Experience with SD-WAN, MPLS, and cloud networking solutions
  • Understanding of state/local government procurement processes and compliance requirements
  • Ability to navigate regulatory frameworks for public sector IT projects
