The Program Manager will lead the development and execution of the ERP Program Management Office (PMO) on behalf of the organization, managing all aspects of the ERP implementation program, including project planning, vendor coordination, stakeholder engagement, business process improvement, change management, and post-implementation support. This role requires expertise in managing large-scale software implementation projects, especially Workday, within a structured PMO environment, along with strong communication and organizational skills.
Job Responsibility:
Develop a comprehensive plan to establish and operationalize the ERP PMO
implement governance structures, such as steering committees and reporting frameworks, to oversee program execution
align the ERP implementation, including Workday and other relevant projects, with organizational goals and objectives
provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership throughout the program lifecycle
refine the program charter, objectives, and scope
establish milestones, deliverables, and timelines collaboratively with stakeholders
ensure the effective management of ERP-related projects from planning through execution, including configuration, integration, and data migration
identify, track, and mitigate risks
escalate major issues with recommended solutions to stakeholders as needed
develop and execute a robust communication plan for consistent updates on progress, milestones, and risks across all stakeholders
serve as the primary liaison for program-related inquiries and maintain strong relationships with executive leadership, department heads, and consultants
manage the implementation lifecycle of Workday and any other ERP-related systems
ensure adherence to timelines, quality standards, legal and regulatory requirements, and organizational policies
execute a change management plan to facilitate technology adoption
develop training programs and support end-users seamlessly during the transition
document lessons learned
optimize system performance
transition the program from implementation mode into operational mode while identifying ongoing improvement opportunities.
Requirements:
Minimum of five years of experience managing large-scale software implementation projects with a financial impact and cross-departmental engagement in a formal PMO environment
at least two years of project management experience with Workday implementations
proficiency in leveraging PM tools and technologies (e.g., MS Office, Smartsheet, databases)
familiarity with governmental organizations and unionized work environments
advanced knowledge of project management and change management methodologies
strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with proficiency in conflict resolution
ability to build productive relationships across departments and stakeholders
willingness to work on-site when required.
