Play a pivotal role in designing and delivering broad programs that support the diverse interests and needs of our senior population. Oversee a robust calendar of educational, health and wellness, recreational and social activities, as well as intergenerational programs in collaboration with other town departments and local partners.
Job Responsibility:
Develop, implement, and evaluate a variety of programs that promote active aging, personal enrichment and community engagement
Manage event logistics, including scheduling, budgeting and promotion
Oversee the development of newsletters, social media and other communications to keep the community informed and engaged
Work closely with town staff, volunteers, vendors and local and regional organizations to ensure programs meet the evolving needs of seniors and their families
Requirements:
Experience in program development and management, preferably in a community/senior center or elder services-based organization
Strong communication skills, including proven community relations experience
Collaborative mindset and ability to build relationships across departments and community organizations
Empathy and sensitivity to the needs of mature citizens and their families
