Job Description:

Lead complex and high-impact programs from concept through delivery, applying program management and systems engineering expertise to advance defence-aligned technology outcomes. Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring seamless program execution, strong stakeholder relationships, and alignment with Bluestaq’s strategic objectives. Bring structure, foresight and agility to programs that bridge software development, systems integration, and secure data management for mission-critical environments.

Job Responsibility:

Lead end-to-end program lifecycle management—from planning, execution and delivery to sustainment and closure
Build and maintain trusted relationships across Defence, government and industry stakeholders
Translate strategic objectives into actionable program plans, measurable milestones and accountable deliverables
Manage schedules, budgets and risks with precision
Drive integration across engineering, operations and product teams
Develop and maintain program reporting structures, documentation and dashboards using tools such as Confluence and Jira
Anticipate and mitigate program risks through proactive planning, clear communication and strong governance

Requirements:

Minimum 10–12 years of experience in program management and systems delivery within Defence, government or complex technology programs
Relevant tertiary qualification in engineering, project management or a related field (PMP, PgMP or equivalent credentials highly regarded)
Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams in high-security or Defence environments
Deep understanding of Agile and traditional project management methodologies
Strong stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills, including experience briefing senior Defence and government clients
Proven ability to manage competing priorities, complex dependencies and risk under tight timelines
High level of analytical thinking, systems-based problem solving and strategic decision-making
Willingness to travel within Australia to customer and partner locations, including secure government or defence sites, and occasional travel to Bluestaq offices in the United States
Australian citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain an Australian Government NV1 security clearance
