Job Description

The Program Manager, State Attraction provides high-level strategic advice and operational support to the Director, State Attraction, ensuring major events, conferences, and associated activities align with South Australia’s economic priorities and broader policy objectives. The role applies a rigorous, evidence-based approach to the acquisition, development, and performance management of major events and conferences. This includes assessing and evaluating business cases, undertaking economic and policy analysis, identifying risks and mitigation strategies, and overseeing funding and contractual arrangements to support sound investment decisions. Working collaboratively across government and in close partnership with the events sector and other key stakeholders, the Program Manager, State Attraction plays a critical role in ensuring that major events and conferences deliver measurable economic benefits, as well as meaningful social and community outcomes for South Australia.
