Job Description:

Are you a highly motivated and emerging leader eager to launch your career in program management? The Advanced Compact EW Solutions (ACES) organization in Countermeasure & Electromagnetic Attack Solution (CEMA) business area is seeking a motivated Program Manager I to join our team to support a exciting, complex and dynamic development program. This role is ideal for a person with program execution experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to develop robust program management and leadership skills. This is a critical growth opportunity where you will be mentored while directly impacting the delivery of next-generation electronic warfare (EW) capabilities.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide leadership and program management oversight supporting a large, complex development program, assuring the project meets financials, schedule, and technical objectives, and achieves the highest level of customer satisfaction
  • Develop program/project plans specifying goals, staffing needs, schedule milestones, risks and contingency plans
  • Direct program activities to meet work objectives and serves as a liaison with customers to coordinate activities, negotiate tasks, and solve problems
  • Identify and mitigate risks and document program progress including implementation, timelines, issues, risks, quality and successes measures to meet contractual requirements
  • Communicate with all levels of BAE Systems senior management regarding program performance status (cost / schedule / resources / risk) as well as performance to annual financial objectives
  • Manage program scope and cost estimating, including estimate to complete/estimate at completion (ETC/EAC) processes

Requirements:

  • US Citizen, Secret Clearance with ability to achieve SAP/SAR
  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science) or business-related discipline
  • Minimum 6 year of Defense Industry experience
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively across functional teams
  • A desire to learn and an aptitude for working in a fast-paced, highly technical development environment

  • Project management or program office experience, or experience leading a team
  • Scope management experience
  • Experience interfacing with customers
  • Experience on development programs
  • Risk and opportuntity management experience
