We partner with our public policy, safety, security and privacy experts to define transportation policy for the autonomous driving world to come, advising on regulatory changes that support and protect our users around the world. We collaborate with our engineering, product, strategy and operations teams to develop and protect our intellectual property portfolio and drive our corporate and commercial transactions. We enable compliance with an increasingly complex and dynamic range of global regulations. And we anticipate, mitigate, and litigate high-profile and precedent-setting legal matters.

  • Assist in the management, collection, quality controls, submission, and tooling development for reportable data across Waymo’s markets
  • Support ad hoc projects to respond to regulator requests for data
  • Analyze and communicate identified trends, gaps, predictions, and opportunities for process improvement

Requirements

  • At least 4 years experience working on an external data reporting program, preferably at a safety-focused, highly-regulated organization
  • Strong experience working with regulations and regulatory bodies in the APAC Region
  • Exceptional attention to detail, both in written and verbal communication
  • Technical aptitude with ability to quickly learn proprietary software
  • Analytical background with the ability to source and analyze data, identify deficiencies or trends, and present facts or trends
  • Demonstrated project and program management skills while working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment

Nice to have

  • Proficiency speaking and writing in Japanese, with the ability to prepare technical data reporting and interact with local partners and regulators
  • Experience working with autonomous vehicles, transportation, or ride hailing regulations
  • Experience managing external partners and third party vendors
  • Demonstrated ability to conceptualize turning repetitive tasks into scaled, automated workflows
  • Willingness and flexibility to work non-standard hours, as required, to collaborate with teams based in the APAC region

What we offer

  • Discretionary annual bonus program
  • Equity incentive plan
  • Health and wellness benefits (medical, dental, vision insurance, mental wellness support, gym membership, wellness programs)
  • Financial wellness benefits (competitive compensation, bonus opportunities, equity, employees provident fund, employee discounts)
  • Flexibility and time off (work from another location for four weeks per year, on-site or hybrid work model, remote working opportunities, paid time off, bereavement, sick, and parental leave)
