The purpose of the role of Program Manager is to support their Program Director in the identification of opportunities, winning work and delivering outcomes to clients to achieve the Program’s objectives.
Job Responsibility:
Support the Program Director in identification of opportunities, winning work and delivering outcomes to clients
Contribute to development of direction of their program and identification and achievement of associated objectives
Positively and actively support decisions of the Program Director
Provide input to monthly reporting, including financial forecasts, pipeline reviews and project performance reporting
Contribute to a culture of operational and technical excellence
Develop a deep understanding of assigned clients to identify opportunities and develop course of action to win work
Support Program Director by identifying, reviewing and qualifying opportunities within the Program
Assist Program Director to maintain pipeline through solicitation and consolidation for program inputs
Act as opportunity lead for specific opportunities within program area as assigned by Program Director
Represent program area as directed in collaboration activities with Future Business
Act as Project Manager for key projects
Cooperate with other PMs to optimize staff utilization across Region
Monitor and report on performance against agreed plan/baseline
Identify and execute risk mitigation strategies
Provide oversight and support to PMs within program
Supervise, coordinate and guide PMs delivering within the Program
Overall monitoring of performance within program
When delegated by Program Director, stand in for all projects within program
Act as key client manager for assigned clients
Represent clients within BMT and company with clients
Proactively interact with clients and exceed expectations
Fill role of Technical Lead or Technical Assurer for delivery of a task
Apply specialist knowledge and experience to development and delivery of engineering solutions
Contribute to solution development through application of knowledge and experience
Maintain and develop professional skills
Mentor less experienced personnel
Identify capability requirements for future opportunities
Support recruiting activities
Contribute to thought leadership activities
Assist and participate in skills development activities
Contribute to and support R&D and innovation activities
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Ocean Engineering, or in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or other related Engineering field
An engineering degree, Technical diploma, or equivalent experience
Excellent written and oral communication
Proficient user of the Microsoft 365 suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Task Boards, Teams)
