Job Description

We are currently seeking a Program Manager - Core Banking Program Manager - Core Banking to join our team in Jersey City, New Jersey (US-NJ), United States (US). We are seeking an experienced Program Manager with deep expertise in Core Banking systems to lead large-scale transformation and implementation programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of managing complex, multi-year banking programs, driving delivery across business and technology teams, and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. This role requires leadership across end-to-end program lifecycle, stakeholder management at senior levels, and successful delivery of core banking initiatives such as system implementations, upgrades, migrations, and digital transformation.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of Core Banking transformation programs (implementation, migration, upgrades)
  • Define program strategy, roadmap, and execution plan aligned with business objectives
  • Manage multiple projects/workstreams within the program, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery
  • Engage with senior stakeholders (CXOs, Business Heads, IT Leadership) to drive alignment and decision-making
  • Oversee vendor management, including core banking platform providers (e.g., Temenos, Finacle, TCS BaNCS, Flexcube)
  • Ensure effective risk, issue, and dependency management across the program
  • Drive governance frameworks, including steering committees, reporting, and escalation mechanisms
  • Lead business and technology integration, ensuring seamless alignment between functional and technical teams
  • Oversee data migration, testing, and cutover planning for core banking systems
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and audit requirements
  • Drive change management, communication, and user adoption strategies
  • Monitor and report program performance, KPIs, and financials

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in banking/financial services, with significant exposure to Core Banking systems
  • 10+ years of experience managing large-scale transformation or implementation programs
  • Proven experience managing large-scale transformation or implementation programs
  • Strong knowledge of leading core banking platforms such as: Temenos, Finacle, TCS BaNCS, Oracle Flexcube
  • Expertise in program and project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid)
  • Strong understanding of: Core banking operations (Retail, Corporate, Payments, Lending)
  • Data migration and system integration
  • Banking regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Experience in vendor and stakeholder management at senior levels
  • Strong financial and budget management capabilities
