Job Description

The Program Management Senior Lead will work in the Project Management Office and be responsible for supporting CAO mission and goals. The Program Management Senior Lead will ensure that the projects/programs they are involved in are completed on time, to specification, and within budget. They will ensure that all project team members deliver against objectives as required to meet committed deadlines and where concerns/risks are identified, these are escalated timely for corrective action to meet initial deadlines wherever possible. The Program Management Senior Lead will play an integral role in ensuring stakeholder adoption of specific business outcomes.

Job Responsibility

  • Accountable for the end results of any work effort
  • Ensures essential procedures are followed and contributes to defining standards
  • Supports planning, directing and coordination of day-to-day activities of running a program or portfolio of programs
  • Directs the creation of multiple programs of work and manages their alignment to business goals
  • Identifies and drives resolution of issues, including those outside established programs of work
  • Works with stakeholders to ensure program scope definition meets business objectives
  • Works with Program Sponsor to ensure business case/cost benefit analysis is in line with business objectives
  • Directs the communication of status, issue, and risk disposition to all stakeholders, including senior management, on a timely basis
  • Directs the identification of risks which impact program delivery and ensure mitigation
  • Enforce effective Change control, ensuring that scope creep, stakeholder coordination, and quality are carefully managed
  • Routinely engage in building consensus, developing contingency plans, and providing recommended solutions
  • Maintain detailed records, including the full life or a project, and then share these with stakeholders

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience preferably in financial services industry
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, especially in power-point format
  • Strong attention-to-detail
  • Excellent judgment and independent decision-making ability
  • Excellent influencing, facilitation, and partnering skills
  • Experience and ease in interfacing with Senior Management
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional time-management skills
  • Ability to identify risks and issues, generate solutions, and choose appropriate alternatives using basic root cause analysis
  • Bachelor’s/University degree required
  • Master’s degree welcomed
  • PMP/PMI Certification recommended
