Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Program Management Administrative Assistant to join our team in Norfolk, VA. As a key member of our Program Management Office (PMO), you will provide administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of projects, maintain accurate records, and facilitate effective communication among internal, external, and corporate team members. This is a dynamic and fast-paced environment, and the ideal candidate will be able to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship and a High school diploma
  • 3+ years of administrative experience, preferably in a project management, business, or executive support role
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including: Sharepoint, Excel (advanced), Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary to resolve issues and improve processes
  • Ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date records, reports, and databases
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
  • The ideal candidate will be proactive, flexible, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with project managers, superintendents, schedulers, and other stakeholders

  • Shipyard or maritime industry experience
  • Project management software experience (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Trello)
  • Familiarity with document management systems
