Job Description

Principal challenge is to lead cross functional EMEA teams to successfully launch and achieve project goals according to Aptiv procedures & Strategy. He/She leads and co-ordinates all activities related to the project/ process development from Project customer nomination until handover to serial production (CT Gate).

Job Responsibility

  • Accountable for flawless execution of assigned projects and deliverables
  • Monitor and control metrics on program execution and performance
  • Complete the development of the project plan and master schedule
  • Serve as the primary customer interface for program updates, reviews, and issue resolution
  • Coordinate project related activities and provide leadership/direction to the Project Team and other appropriate associates to meet the program targets
  • Conduct regular program reviews to monitor progress, risks, and mitigation plans
  • Escalate issue and risks which are beyond the control of the Project Team
  • Assume responsibility for assuring synchronization between operational activities, project- process-steps and other functional activities related to the program to ensure Flawless start of production
  • Coordinate that all related activities with Pilots and Prototype build within the operations are properly conducted and the respective delivery targets from the customer are met
  • Support and ensure an up-to-date reporting and keep the Plant Manager and Program Manager (assigned to the project) and Program Team well informed on progress toward achievements and identified barriers to progress
  • Support launch readiness and oversee production ramp-up until project stabilization
  • Implement best practices and Lessons Learned from other projects
  • Achieve Flawless Launch Metrics targets
  • Assist and insure good progress of internal/external / customer audits
  • Lead inter-regional project as assigned depends on capacity

Requirements

  • Master degree in Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in Project management in automotive industry
  • Documented leadership, team oriented work experience and strong communication skills
  • Strong understanding of Automotive/Industry Standards and product development processes (APQP, FMEA, DFMEA, etc.)
  • Experience working with OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers
  • Risk management skills
  • Conflict management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines
