Job Responsibility:

  • Support people beyond crisis moments, helping them understand their finance, build confidence, and create stability over time through ongoing, connected support from trusted teams working together
  • Oversee the Financial Wellbeing services in the Illawarra, based in Wollongong
  • Lead a team of up to 6 professionals delivering Financial Capability, Financial Counselling and related services across office and community settings
  • Work closely with financial counsellors, caseworkers, churches and community partners
  • Drive strong client outcomes, ensure compliance, and embed a trauma‑informed, strengths‑based approach while fostering a collaborative, high‑performing team culture

Requirements:

  • Experience leading and coaching teams in community or social services
  • Strong background supporting people experiencing financial hardship
  • Ability to build genuine connections with diverse communities
  • Proven capability managing priorities, data, and reporting in fast‑paced environments
  • Collaborative, values‑led, outcomes‑focused leadership style
