Job Responsibility

  • Responsible for all purchasing activities related to a New Program
  • Introduction for various product/commodity groups
  • Responsible for cost preparation of Bill of Material from first quotes to customer - till Start of Production
  • Identify potential suppliers for the current and future programs, approve, develop these sources of supply and their capabilities to supply parts to the Global BorgWarner facilities, in cooperation with Engineering and Supplier Quality
  • Negotiates complex and or critical supplier agreements in line with existing BorgWarner global strategies
  • Responsible for supplier selection process in line with BorgWarner and automotive standards
  • Responsible for tooling and program capacity allocation at suppliers and rump up coordination
  • Identify cost down opportunities and find alternative suppliers of components for products
  • Supplier management for reaching project milestones, components availability and PPAP validation
  • Assurance of Flowless Launch and transfer of project to series production

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Logistic, Procurement or Supply Chain Management Area
  • Min 3 years buyer’s experience, including negotiations, experience in project purchasing would be an asset
  • Must be a team-player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in cost analysis or price breakdowns
  • Fluency in English both spoken and written
  • Ability to gather and organize data for decision making purpose
  • Good practical knowledge of Microsoft Excel
