Job Responsibility:

  • Plan, coordinate, and lead Commodity Buyers in procurement of injection molded motor carriers/wire harness brackets, stampings, assemblies, technical plastics, spring mats
  • and steel/plastic raw materials for Brose seat systems produced at Brose U.S. (Vance, AL & New Boston, MI), Mexico (Queretaro, Mexico), and Spain (Santa Margarida, Spain) manufacturing plants, for delivery to OEM vehicle maker
  • Calculate and assure cost, budget, delivery, timing, negotiated price terms, quality, warranty, and lifetime profitability requirements for injection molded plastic parts (motor carriers/wire harness brackets)
  • stampings
  • tubes, welded assemblies
  • and hybrid assemblies (Bowden cables, spring mats) and blanking/spindle assemblies
  • Coordinate and manage procurement lifecycle, from initiation of supplier contract awards to supplier Part Approval Process (PPAP) supply chain acceptance, and assure project milestones from quotation, development of parts, validation, rampup, to launch and Start of Production (SOP)

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor, Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related
  • Twenty-four months’ experience as Buyer or related, calculating or assuring cost, budget, delivery, negotiated price terms, and lifetime profitability requirements for plastic parts such as motor carriers or wire harness brackets and hybrid assemblies such as Bowden cables, or related
