Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Program Assistant to support our team in Towson, Maryland. This contract opportunity is ideal for candidates experienced in accounting or financial assistance, who excel at managing program budgets, credits, and delivering exceptional service to participants.

Job Responsibility:

  • Accurately calculate monthly escrow credits and prepare financial adjustments, ensuring all formulas and procedures are applied correctly
  • Maintain precise records of financial data, capturing amounts, dates, and participant credits to ensure data integrity
  • Utilize the system to monitor, update, and track monthly credits
  • Reconcile escrow credits by completing manual worksheets accurately and efficiently
  • Attend occasional events and meetings outside standard office hours as needed
  • Review credit transactions and monitor program budgets, confirming compliance and accuracy across all activities
  • Provide outstanding customer service, assisting program participants with financial questions and processes
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure seamless operations and consistent adherence to program guidelines

Requirements:

  • Minimum of three years of experience in accounting, financial assistance, or a related field
  • Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) and bank reconciliations
  • Demonstrated experience with escrow processing and credit reviews
  • Strong knowledge of personal finance and program budget management
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and tracking
  • Availability to attend occasional events outside of standard working hours
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills to manage financial data effectively
