We are looking for a dependable Program Aide (Overnight shift)) to support front desk operations and daily client services for a nonprofit housing environment in California. This Contract position is ideal for someone who brings a welcoming approach, strong organizational skills, and the ability to remain attentive during an overnight schedule (11:30pm Fridays into Saturdays 7:30am and 11:30pm Saturdays into Sundays 7:30am. 16 Hours Total). The person in this role will help maintain a safe, orderly setting while assisting visitors, residents, and staff with a range of administrative and service-related tasks.
Job Responsibility
Welcome visitors, residents, and service providers at the front desk while creating a detail-focused and supportive first impression
Manage incoming packages, mail, food deliveries, and donated items, ensuring materials are sorted and distributed appropriately
Check clients in and out of the facility and provide shift coverage during staff meal and rest breaks
Enter and update information accurately in tracking logs and other records to support daily operations
Assist clients with approved medication access and help keep shared spaces stocked with essential day room supplies
Reinforce site guidelines, document incidents or rule violations when needed, and communicate concerns to the appropriate team members
Deliver responsive customer service by answering questions, directing visitors, and supporting smooth front desk workflow throughout the swing shift
Requirements
At least 1 year of experience in administrative support, reception, customer service, or a related role
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse individuals
Ability to manage multiple tasks, stay organized, and adjust priorities in a fast-paced setting
High level of accuracy and attention to detail when handling records, check-ins, and daily operational tasks
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and general computer data entry
Comfort working collaboratively with a team while also handling front desk responsibilities independently
Ability to support an evening schedule through midnight in a client-facing environment
