Job Description:

Full-time tenure track position in English to teach undergraduate courses in American literature and composition. The position is a 9-month contract with compensation dispensed over 12 months; summer teaching is not required. The faculty work on a beautiful, small campus in central Illinois.

Job Responsibility:

  • Teach 4 courses per semester, based on student need and faculty availability
  • Teach undergraduate courses in American literature and composition
  • Teach general education literature and composition classes
  • Potentially teach courses in areas of special expertise
  • Advise students
  • Service to the college via committee membership
  • Mentor, advise, and work closely with students
  • Supervise in Blackburn’s student managed work program

Requirements:
