Join a dynamic global team at 8x8, where you’ll design and deliver custom-built integrations and enhancements for our award-winning suite of cloud communications solutions—including UCaaS, CCaaS, CPaaS, and AI/ML-powered technologies. As a Software Integration Engineer, you’ll work closely with enterprise clients to integrate 8x8 with CRM platforms, workforce management tools, conversational AI, and other third-party applications. Your experience in software development, deep understanding of contact center and telecom technologies, and proficiency in conversational AI and NLP will enable you to build high-impact, customer-specific solutions that extend the power of our platform.
Job Responsibility:
Customer-Facing Engineering: Partner directly with 8x8 solution architects and our enterprise clients to gather requirements, design solutions, and deliver integrations aligned to Statements of Work (SOW)
Solution Development: Build/Scope and implement custom applications and integrations using 8x8 APIs and third-party tools
Project Delivery: Manage deployment and configuration of 8x8 systems, ensuring successful implementation across complex environments
Stakeholder Communication: Present solutions clearly to a range of stakeholders—from technical teams to executive leadership
Business Contribution: Support the achievement of professional services revenue goals and contribute to solution profitability
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technology field
Hands-on experience with scripting languages including, Python, and JavaScript
Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and integration methodologies with third-party systems
Professional communication skills and comfort in customer-facing roles
Familiarity with CRMs such as Salesforce, Service now, or MSDynamics
Nice to have:
Background in contact center technologies, VoIP, and video conferencing platforms is highly desirable
Experience configuring 8x8 systems and scripting integrations
Experience with NLP and conversational AI/ML solutions (chat and voice)
