Job Description

Are you an experienced Installation Engineer looking to broaden your technical exposure across modern workplace, cloud, networking, and security technologies? A reputable IT solutions provider is growing their Professional Services function and seeking a proactive engineer to join their project delivery team. This role focuses on delivering installation and upgrade projects for customers across the North East, with occasional wider UK travel. You’ll work closely with senior consultants and project managers to ensure smooth delivery from planning through to implementation and handover. This position offers strong career progression with exposure to leading technologies across cloud, security, networking and workplace environments.

Job Responsibility

  • Deliver a variety of technical installation projects both on-site and remotely
  • Work on endpoint deployment, hardening, and security enhancement projects
  • Conduct WiFi surveys and assist with the rollout of WiFi and networking solutions
  • Support modern workplace and cloud initiatives, including Microsoft 365 setup, configuration, migrations, and tenancy security improvements
  • Assist with cloud security deployments and Active Directory domain projects
  • Validate designs produced during presales, contribute to project planning, and ensure solutions are fully tested before sign-off
  • Produce clear, high-quality installation and technical documentation
  • Manage your workload effectively, taking ownership of project delivery while escalating issues when appropriate
  • Collaborate within a supportive team environment and share knowledge with colleagues
  • Continue developing your skills through self-learning and supported training opportunities
