Job Description:

Professional Services Consultant position for Core, Edge & Access, and Aggregation networks. Highly technical role providing post-sales support of Juniper Network Products. Requires developing and maintaining expertise on products deployed within customer networks.

Job Responsibility:

Hold design and information-gathering workshops with customers
Identify, research, and resolve technical problems
Assist customer/partner for troubleshooting network design and architecture issues
Work internally with Juniper SE and Engineering team to relay functionality requirements
Act as customer technical liaison for Juniper Networks support and development teams
Work as Technical Consultant for major network deployments and migrations
Provide deployment guidance
Apply industry experience to improve network performance
Assist customer/Partner in development and testing of new features
Hold technology workshops with customers
Document network design requirements
Validation of MOP's
Adhere to Juniper process and provide best practices
Proactive alerts on security threats, compliances, bulletins & procedures

Requirements:

Bachelor degree in engineering
8+ years of experience with relevant network troubleshooting experience
Proven experience in designing and managing large service Provider networks
Strong influencing skills, design, consultation, and presentation experience
Good Junos skills and understanding of product architectures
Good Service Provider background, large Enterprise/ISP network design & solution provider skills
Excellent knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals
Strong knowledge of Routing protocols & MPLS (ISIS, OSPF, BGP, RSVP, LDP, IPv6 & Routing Policies, 6VPE/PE)
Understanding of VPN technologies (L2VPN, L3VPN, VPLS)
Layer 2 protocols and technologies such as POS and Ethernet
Strong knowledge on Class of service, HQOS
Certifications – JNCIP/JNCIE or CCNP/CCIE is a strong plus
Hands-on knowledge on Juniper Hardware: MX, QFX, PTX, SRX series is a strong plus
Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
