Requirements

College or University mechanical or aerospace engineering degree or equivalent with more than five (5) years of relevant experience
relevant technical business aircraft interiors experience
solid experience working with Enovia/VPM Nav and Catia (GSD, Assy, Part Body, Drafting, etc.)
understanding of product structure and aircraft certification
ability to understand complex engineering issues and be innovative in problem solving
well organized and project oriented

Job Responsibility

Work with Operations related teams regarding issues on installations and cabinets components on the Global 5500/6500/7500
Act as a first point of contact for any engineering issues in production
Collaborate with different internal parties (Operations, Detailed Design, Projects, Programs, Technical, etc.) as well as suppliers for problem solving on daily basis
Support Engineering request for change (RFC). Coordinate technical meetings, analyze, and define technical proposed solution to meet customer and operation needs
Be responsible for the delivery of quality engineering documentation that meets Bombardier Standards
Have a good understanding and interpretation of regulatory and industry requirements
Ensure components meet technical and certification requirements

Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Materials or Chemical engineering from an accredited university
Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in an aerospace/military production environment
Significant knowledge on aircraft interior materials and processes such as surface treatments, coatings, protective finishes, leather, upholstery, woodworking etc.
Knowledgeable about typical military and/or aerospace industry standards such as CMH-17, MIL specs, Federal regulations, ASTM, ISO and SAE specifications

Lead and perform a diversified range of engineering tasks such as leading material qualifications, supporting cost reduction initiatives, solving part non-conformity issues, production line problems, managing supplier changes etc. as part of the Materials and Processes Engineering team for Global Completions
Lead development of test plans, work with internal and external laboratories, analyze results and review/approve test reports and specifications
Support review & approval of Materials & Processes Specifications for Completions and associated Qualified Product Library
Review and approve engineering drawings, change documentation, certification plans and release documentation pursuant to technical engineering modifications/specifications for materials in general
Manage R&D projects, support design activities, investigate new environmental regulations impacting Completions
Handle complex issues, make challenging technical decisions and provide regular status updates to upper management
Lead and participate in process optimization and cost reduction initiatives
