Job Responsibility

  • Report directly to the G8000 Head of Aircraft Design
  • Support the Head of Aircraft Design and the Chief Aircraft Integrator for platform specific studies, investigations and action plans
  • Work with the Platform Project Managers to ensure support, priorities and execution of investigations into specific emerging topics, product improvements and risk mitigations
  • May represent the Chief Aircraft Integrator on activities at the aircraft level such as cross functional investigations
  • May represent the Chief Aircraft Integrator as change board co-chair ensuring the completeness of the proposed solutions
  • Support Chief Aircraft Integrator establishing aircraft level requirements (D&O & ARD), and, design and performance margins of design changes under the purview of the Platform
  • Work in conjunction with the Functional Directors and Fellows to ensure the appropriate level of support is available to meet the priorities

Requirements

  • University Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in aircraft design and integration
  • Knowledge of the type certification process, the corrective action process, and the procedures of the Design Approval Organization
  • Knowledge in a specific field and a breadth of knowledge of many aircraft systems
  • Ability to integrate across multiple engineering disciplines to resolve problems
  • Leadership, team building and decision/making capability
