Job Responsibility:
Work with suppliers on projects related to mechanical systems components on the Global 5500/6500/7500/8000 (Window Shades, Water & Waste, Oxygen, ECS, Tables and Door mechanisms, Insulation, etc.)
Collaborate with different internal parties (Operations, Projects, Programs, Procurement, Technical, etc.) as well as suppliers for problem solving
Negotiate interfaces with other systems/structures and formalize the agreement on Interface Control Drawings (ICD)
Support Program Change Requests (PCR)
Coordinate technical integration meetings, analyze, and define technical proposals to meet customer and operation needs
Lead technical meetings with suppliers and be responsible for the delivery of quality engineering documentation that meets Bombardier Standards
Chair design reviews and master regulatory and industry requirements
Ensure system components meet technical and certification requirements
Act as a technical leader and transfer knowledge through coaching/mentoring within your larger team
Requirements:
College or University mechanical or aerospace engineering degree or equivalent with more than Ten (10) years of relevant experience
Relevant technical business aircraft interiors experience
Knowledge of the Global Aircrafts and Mechanical Systems Integration is an asset
Solid experience working with Enovia/Catia and Teamcenter/NX (GSD, Assy, Part Body, Drafting, etc.)
Understand product structure and aircraft certification
Ability to understand complex engineering issues and are innovative in problem solving
Well organized and are project oriented
Must be a self-motivated person, a team player able to work under pressure and under a minimum of supervision
Good communication skills including good English writing skills, and good English verbal skills, French is an asset
Excellent track record of meeting your commitments with success
Nice to have:
Knowledge of the Global Aircrafts and Mechanical Systems Integration is an asset
