Olsson is currently seeking a seasoned Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) to join our team in North Kansas City, MO. As a PLS with Olsson, you'll have the opportunity to use cutting-edge technology like drones, GPS scanning, Trimble, and more. You'll play a vital role in maintaining client relationships, leading our survey crew and drafting technicians, managing projects, providing training, and ensuring survey accuracy. Job Responsibility:

  • Foster and maintain strong client relationships
  • Lead and supervise survey crew staff and drafting technicians
  • Efficiently manage projects from initiation to completion
  • Provide comprehensive training and mentorship to staff
  • Take ownership of project estimates and job proposals
  • Assume responsibility for the financial performance of assigned projects

Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to contribute and work well on a team
  • Experience in performing and managing land surveys (property and right-of-way determinations, boundary, ALTA, platting, land divisions, topographic surveys)
  • Must be a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in Missouri
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving history
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner

  • Conducting site visits and general data collection efforts to support the design
  • Completing surveying efforts to support design or construction
  • Completing additional project documents such as field reports, existing condition reports, etc.
