Job Description:

We are looking for an Auto Body Repairer / Damage Technician to best meet our customers’ needs and strengthen our team. Ideally, you have experience in auto body repair, preferably with a formal education in the trade, or you have a strong interest in the profession combined with some practical experience. It is an advantage if you have previously worked as an auto body repairer at a collision repair workshop. You are thorough, responsible, patient, and have a good sense of form and detail. You enjoy working independently but are also a natural team player. We offer opportunities for professional development and a positive working environment at a well-established facility.

Requirements:

  • Perform repairs on all types of sheet metal damage
  • Carry out bodywork and structural repairs, including frame bench operations
  • Replace spare parts and perform alignments
  • Conduct various sheet metal and bodywork tasks with precision and efficiency
  • Work independently with responsibility for planning and execution of tasks
  • Experience in auto body repair, preferably with a formal education in the trade, or a strong interest in the profession combined with some practical experience
  • Previously worked as an auto body repairer at a collision repair workshop
  • Thorough, responsible, patient, and have a good sense of form and detail
  • Enjoy working independently but are also a natural team player
  • Must have a full passport (not only national ID)

  • Performs preventative maintenance, diagnoses and troubleshoots failures and makes necessary repairs of Sewer District motorized equipment including automobiles, light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks, heavy equipment, lawn care, watercraft, and off-road utility vehicles
  • Performs light bodywork, welding, and fabrication
  • Evaluates and resolves engine performance and vehicle drivability issues
  • Contacts and works with internal and external stakeholders, vendors to purchase, exchange, pick up and deliver vehicle parts
  • Makes field/roadside repair calls, including in inclement weather
  • Operates a Sewer District towing equipment to pick up stranded vehicles
  • Inspects, repairs, and/or overhauls vehicle support systems, such as Powertrain Control Module (PCM), Body Control Module (BCM), Restraint Control Module (RCM), Transmission Control Module (TCM), Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), electrical, air, suspension, hydraulics, HVAC and anti-lock brake systems (ABS)
  • Utilizes a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to maintain current vehicle records, documenting the maintenance and repair process, work orders, part orders, labor hours, vehicle issues, daily checklist (pre-trip inspection), and other related information
  • Performs routine housekeeping duties related to tools, materials, shop, and work areas
