Production Worker

• Assembles/disassembles the bottom pour setup
• Strips ingots when necessary
• Maintains adequate supply of alloys and operating supplies
• Shovels, weighs, and adds alloys to molten steel
• Assists in all phases of furnace operation
• Takes temperatures and collects samples from molten steel
• Operates a variety of shop equipment including Forklift
• Wears the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times
• Performs general housekeeping duties and maintains a clean work area
• Follows work instructions, SOPs, and adheres to all safety policies and procedures
• Completes all other duties that are assigned.

• Must possess a High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Demonstrates the ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Steel manufacturing experience would be considered an asset
• Ability and willingness to work shifts, primarily night shifts, as well as overtime as required
• Reliable, dedicated, and trustworthy
• Proven ability to learn new things and be flexible in response to changing requirements in a fast-paced environment
• Superior analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills and a demonstrated ability to take initiative and to work independently or as part of a team
• Strong safety track record and demonstrated willingness to participate in workplace safety and ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
