Job Responsibility:
Execute high-quality welds on metal racks using MIG welding processes within a high-volume manufacturing & logistics environment
Read and interpret basic welding blueprints and technical specifications to ensure structural integrity
Maintain a clean and organized workspace to uphold the highest safety standards in the manufacturing & logistics facility
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production targets and quality benchmarks
Perform routine equipment checks and basic maintenance on welding machinery
Inspect finished products for defects or misalignments to ensure customer satisfaction in the manufacturing & logistics chain
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline manufacturing & logistics workflows
Requirements:
Proficiency in MIG welding (Metal Inert Gas) techniques and equipment
Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced team environment
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to precision
Basic understanding of safety protocols within a manufacturing & logistics setting
Physical stamina required for standing, bending, and lifting throughout a shift
Excellent communication skills to coordinate with the manufacturing & logistics production team
Previous experience as a welder in a manufacturing & logistics environment is preferred
Graduates from recognized welding programs or trade schools are highly encouraged to apply
Successful completion of an on-site weld test is mandatory
Reliable transportation to the Brantford, Ontario location
Flexibility to work straight day or afternoon shifts as required by the manufacturing & logistics schedule
Commitment to workplace safety and wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
What we offer:
Competitive starting pay rate of $27 per hour with scheduled increases
Straight shifts available (Days: 7 am – 3:30 pm or Afternoons: 3 pm – 11:30 pm)
